Ever since I moved to Thunder Bay I have been fascinated by the patterns of the snow on the balsam trees. It creates such an interesting effect on the landscape.
Sadly, the "partridge in a beer tree" needs to come down soon. January 1 was a cold, windy day on the lake.
One of hundreds of chickadees that spend winter at our feeders.
Working hard on the rink. It has not been a good year for making ice.
From the lake.
Our new feeder!
A New Years tradition at the lake.
I am NOT going for a run!
Lots of big plans for lots and lots of skiing this winter.
This is me on January 1, 2011 - full of hope for the new year.
