January 3, 2011 (Day 3)

Just one pic today.  It was the first day back to school and I had a LOT of catching up to do.  I did manage to get a walk along the beach in before sunset.

Here are a few pics from this great day before I pack up and head back to Terrace Bay.

Crazy icy roads on the TC near Thunder Bay.  The highway was closed here last night and closed about 500 m up the road today again for accidents.

January 1, 2011

Ever since I moved to Thunder Bay I have been fascinated by the patterns of the snow on the balsam trees.  It creates such an interesting effect on the landscape.

Sadly, the "partridge in a beer tree" needs to come down soon.  January 1 was a cold, windy day on the lake.
